I would like to upgrade my attic insulation. However, I understand that fiberglass insulation is now considered a suspected carcinogen. Cellulose insulation, I've been told, possibly is a fire hazard. Can you help with this dilemma? Also, are there any factors that affect the R-values of each material?

What is your favorite foam insulation?
Does anyone have foam insulation in their house or has been researching it? There's Soy Foam, Injection Foam, Urethane Foam, spray foam, pour foam, roofing foam, half pound foam, closed cell foam, it just gets to be a lot.
What are the pros and cons or what are you happy with or think are good products? We are looking at expanding our product lines and just were wondering what the public perception of foam insulation really is.
I appreciate your help!
Thanks!

I heard that trees and shading is a part of Green Building. How so?
Our builder is trying to talk us into an upgraded landscaping deal that he says will increase our energy efficiency by using the shade on the side of the house with the most sun. This sounds good for the summer, but what is the winter benefit? Wouldn't they cancel each other out?

Since Cellulose Insulation is made of Paper, is it a fire risk?
We are trying to decide whether to use fiberglass or cellulose in our home. We are concerned with fire safety. Any good answers out there or experiences? - I would like some studies or proof of claims if anyone has any that compare the two. Thanks.
